The focus of the practicum will be on the acquisition of datasets with one or a combination of sensors and their analysis in different spaces (3D, pixels, RGB, temperature, reflectivity) for surface and/or object categorization. Different calibration, acquisition and segmentation methods will be discussed as well as segmentation approaches with and without models.
We will have a session every Tuesday starting at 14:00 in 02.09.053 (in Garching at Lehrstuhl IX) where we will discuss the work of the day and the results of the previous session. After this, the students are free to work in the lab to conduct experiments using the equipment. The programming and/or data analysis can be done at the lab or at home.
